Cook Pillar Image (fist with roots holding a serving spoon)

We often think of our work in four pillars “Build. Grow. Cook. Heal”.

We have four main pillars that frame our work: Build. Grow. Cook. Heal. Each focus on an area that we feel is critical for food system shifts and fostering our pathways to collective freedom.

Cooking together creates a connection and offers a way to nourish others on one of the most basic levels. Cooking is an expression of love for the community and each other. Everyone deserves a meal, especially those that do not have access to fresh food. Through our programs, we serve everyone regardless of circumstance or income status. We are also developing ways in other communal and learning spaces.

multiple chicken dinner meals for Farm Food Familias

Wednesdays in the Kitchen

Founder and Farming Chef, Chef Fresh Roberson, loves to be in the field or the kitchen. Each week there is time in the kitchen cooking for the mutual aid project, Farm.Food.Familias. . We prepare 100 hot meals each Wednesday that join with meals from fellow chefs to feed currently 350 community members. Additionally, there are opportunities to participate in community canning and persevering harvest and creating more accessible value-added products such as sauces and drinks for the community. Value Added Products

Value-added products are a central part of Fresher Together farms operations as it is a small farm that depends on increasing the value of the produce, herbs, and veggies that come to the farm to sustain itself. Our products vary from season to season depending on what we are growing. Currently, we only offer our products inside of our BIPOC Harvest Bags. To learn more about our bags click here.
